Hello there, lets toast to a great year, or lets just toast to a year that has been. But wait, just before we do that...this is what I have to say.
I guess you've been here before, you definitely have. It's end year and you are actually trying to account for this year. Do you remember how even before this year started you were already claiming it? Don't worry, there is another year to claim you know. Just like you did painting it all on your status "2022 is my year."
Well, there are some of us who prefer riding on vibes and inshallah and with this year it wasn't actually any different. One thing is that I really haven't been a `new year resolutions` kind of person but something that has been for me is picking up mantras that we ride into each year with. 2020 was more of `its never that serious` and trust me guys, it helped mister the skill to remain calm in chaos that life those to throw my way. The next year was another, same to last year ans this year. Somehow this mantras get to help find a _ka-radar_ for your life as you move and so did it do to mine.
Well, one thing about this thing called adulting is the fact that you really know when, how or what to do at times and with that it leaves with a cloud of confusion in figuring out who or what you become... it's been more of an experimental phase for me, trying to figure out what works and what doesn't.
If you ever looked keenly at life, something you will realise is that life, in its totality, is actually a ten over ten, all in a line, kind of rocking in all extremes. It could be your hell, it could be your dream but one thing it will never be is... in between. In all honesty, childhood was excruciatingly traumatic, adulthood seemingly a whole chunk of chaos, and old age...pfff! I hope it doesn't turn out to be like what we see them old pops go through. A thing that kind of remains constant is the fact that each moment we all remain hopeful for a better life. A hawker dreams owning a shop someday, A kiosk vendor dreams of a supermarket, a peasant dreams of tilling huge tracks of land...with that we only cling to one thing, Hope, and I hope that that hope never runs out because it seemingly that what keeps us chasing.
While you get to look back and account for your year and you somehow can relate to this, which I am sure some of you are, then just so you know, you not alone and just like Sauti Sol would say, "better days are coming" Hang in there mate.
Now we can toast to a year that this was. Anyway, Happy festivities as we look forward to New year.
Good Job buddy. Interesting piece right here.
