Hey, so you said you
don’t believe in God? Well, I actually do, I’ll tell you why. Growing up I was
used to the fact that Sundays were for church. It was a thing in our home. I
would actually plan my cloth the night before, brush my dad's shoes after mine
were neatly done. The next day I would wake
up with only one thing in mind...church. You'd know my father was up because of
the music that played in the living room, sweet kind of gospel that chiseled
the mood for the day my mother, sweetly humming to the melodies as she prepared
a deserving breakfast... It was Sunday and to us Sunday was a tradition.
Well, something must have
changed along the way because as we grow up, it’s no longer astonishing when
you heard a fifteen-year-old kid claiming there is no God. Most would say it’s
the world evolving and the times have changed but I believe this is all as a
result of the wide exposure we have had to the atheistic world and we will end
up buying an idea that has been pushed by powerful forces to the extent that
have gained influence to the extent that it is taught in our classrooms, talk
of Darwinism.
As a child I had
developed a ton of questions about why we live, about why the universe exists
and how did it come to exist. And how did we come to exist? In Sunday school
they told us God created us and that is what I literally knew until got to that
first history class in high school and the teacher was like, we all came from
monkeys. In my head it seemed amusing by the fact that somehow monkeys are our
relatives, I could as well call monkeys distant cousins ha-ha! But one thing
about this evolution theory is that seemed to offer explanation to the idea it
was selling while earlier on in creation we just had to believe. I guess that
shook the idea I had held onto about creation a little bit but the thought that
we share a lineage with monkeys didn't sit well with me so I chose to stay
confused till I found my radar
Well. I am now grown, not
so much but just take it from me, I am grown and I still debate with the same
question, but I’m pretty much convinced me and monkeys have one thing in
common, we are mammals but I can’t buy the idea that we are monkeys who evolved
into a more complex state. I know you would be so eager to ask me why I'd
support the idea of creation over evolution. Well. Let me tell you why:
I believe that the
universe operates in fixed laws of nature. Just look at it, the aspect that
remain constant...day and night. The earth rotates around the sun for twenty-four
hours. Gravity remains constant. if you left a hot cup of coffee you’d find it
cold after some time. We have seen seasons change and all that. We have no
control over how our bodies 'magically transform'. We can give birth to babies,
we live and we die and so much more. This clearly shows how the world is so
orderly and nothing really happens by mistake or out of nowhere.
So, they said the
universe is as a result of the big bang but they can’t prove what caused the
bang. Let’s face it, even before science
explained this, we already had an idea that the universe had a beginning, from
a supernatural power who seemingly had a design of what he wanted the universe
to be.
The other thing that makes
me believe is the fact that we don’t have to see the supernatural power behind
creation to know that he exists. Just like we can’t see aspects like gravity or
love jealousy but we can see their effects and results is proof enough. For instance, if you saw paintings and
artwork of Picasso, we can’t deny the fact that Picasso ever existed and claim
that that work of art was just out of coincidence? Just like a work of art that
has an artist with his design in mind and we can see the result of his work is
the same way God worked out his design for the universe and we need not to see
or touch him to acknowledge that he exists. Well, that’s my opinion, you could
as well have yours. Everyone is entitled to their opinions only that mine might
actually make sense more than yours does. It’s a free world anyway.

Great explanation
